Wolf Line Construction proudly graduates 8 Apprentices from Fiber Optic Line Worker Program

On Friday, October 25th, MichiganWorks! Association, Michigan state’s primary workforce development association, held a graduation ceremony in Cadillac, MI.  More than 15 employers from across the state graduated over 40 apprentices in fields from medicine to criminal justice, roofing- and of course, fiber optic line construction!  Wolf Line was honored to be the employer graduating the largest number of new journeymen.

MichiganWorks also established a “Mentor of the Year” award in honor of Wolf Line’s former Apprentice Program Manager, Scott McCulloch, who tirelessly championed the lineworker apprenticeship until his passing in March 2024.  General Foreman, Terje Johnson, was selected from Wolf Line to speak about his experience in the program.

Wolf Line’s Director of Human Capital, Barbara Harmon, said about the experience, “Registered Apprenticeships are very important to Wolf Line Construction and our workforce. They provide a graduated wage scale, applied learning, and ultimately develop excellent professionals. The programs we have partnered with the DOL on have been instrumental in the growth of Wolf Line Construction.”
